No, not FedEx.... It's been a while, but I also wrote this article for IQUIST, the Illinois Quantum Information Science & Technology Center, a while back. I was working there part-time as a science writer and mainly covered others' successes, but this was a cool experience I just had to share.
I had the wonderful opportunity to go back to France in a research context this time, representing a group of American graduate students interested in cybersecurity. The most rewarding aspect was getting to talk with so many classical cryptographers at the time. It really made clear to me modern-day computing concerns and gave me a broader perspective with which to view my own quantum research.
